How to change your WhatsApp font style
A new WhatsApp update has been launched, and it includes a few really cool and handy features, like the possibility to change your font style and size! This was, of course, one of the most-wanted WhatsApp updates, because there are many people who don’t like the regular font of the messaging app.
Plus, some people just like changing things from time to time in order to have something different from their daily routine. Therefore, we decided to write this guide on how to change font style in WhatsApp in order to help our users with this new feature.
Follow these simple steps
Open WhatsApp. Tap on Menu > Settings > Font. You will see two options: Style and Size.
For example, if you want your fonts to be big and bold, tap on Style and choose a new font size or type until you are satisfied with how it looks on your screen. If you want small fonts, choose a smaller font from the Style menu.
To make all of these changes permanent, save them by tapping Save Changes at the bottom of the menu screen. Otherwise, they'll revert back to what they were previously after you close WhatsApp.
Step 1
Head to your WhatsApp profile by clicking on your photo icon. In case you’re using an iPhone, tap on profile instead. You should see a three-dot button at the top-right corner of your profile page – tap it and select Settings.
The process is similar for Android users as well; head over to Settings from within WhatsApp app. Look for Chat Settings or simply tap on that three-dot button again, depending on what type of phone you have. In order to ensure that all of these tricks are relevant for both iPhone and Android users, we will only refer you back to these basic steps.
The rest depends upon which phone you have! For iOS devices, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Bold Text and make sure the slider is on ON.
Alternatively, swipe right (or left) until you find Bold Text under Text Size and turn it ON. To enable this option in Android phones too, go to Settings > Display & Language > Font and make sure Large is checked under Font Style.
The other option would be customizing fonts through third party apps like Typeface for iOS or TSFonts for Android.
Start with heading to your WhatsApp profile by clicking on your photo icon. In case you're using an iPhone, tap on Profile instead. Once there, look for the 3 dots button at the top-right corner of your profile page -tap it and select Settings.
Now choose Chat Settings or just click/tap those 3 dots again depending on what type of phone you have. Head over to Settings and scroll down until you find Advanced Options under chat settings (Android).
Select Advanced Options> Enable Custom Emoji & GIF Tab. Next, tap on Save Changes in order to confirm the changes made previously without exiting settings mode.
